The Studio Practice

Raw pigment on archival cotton rag

Bypassing traditional gallery markups to connect collectors directly with pure soft pastel works.

Material & Light

The silent resonance of uncompressed pastel

Soft pastel is the most direct of all painting mediums. Pure mineral pigments, bound with the absolute minimum of natural gum, meet heavy cotton rag without the barrier of a liquid vehicle. Every stroke retains the dry, light-refracting sparkle of the raw earth from which it was ground.

Working in natural north light, each composition is built slowly through layered applications of tone. There is no possibility of overpainting in the conventional sense; each mark settles permanently into the fibers of the paper, creating an atmospheric depth that cannot be replicated through mechanical reproduction.

Handmade Editions

Archival standards and quarterly releases

Original works ship flat in custom museum mounting, secured against acid migration. Limited-edition prints are individually pulled on heavyweight cotton rag, inspected under daylight, and hand-signed in pencil before joining a scheduled studio drop.

Direct Access

By releasing works directly from the studio, every piece maintains its uncompromised provenance from my easel to your wall.
